I work with artists and creative teams on shaping strategy around releases, projects, and longer-term creative direction. This often involves clarifying narrative, positioning, and how a project enters the world, alongside thinking through communication and social strategy in a way that feels aligned rather than reactive.

Drawing on over a decade of experience working closely with artists, managers, labels, and creative teams in the music industry, this work is grounded in practical understanding as well as taste and context.

I provide cultural and contextual research to support creative projects across music, film, media, and live work. This can take the form of reading, viewing, and listening references, as well as broader cultural framing to help align tone and direction at early stages of development.

This work is designed to give creatives and teams a shared language and point of reference, supporting depth and clarity without overwhelming or over-directing.

Alongside my own writing practice, I work with artists and creatives on written materials that require clarity, tone, and restraint. This includes artist biographies, project texts, and editorial support, as well as interviews and longer-form writing focused on process and context rather than promotion.

My background as a freelance journalist and writer informs a careful, considered approach to language, with attention to how creative work is framed and understood.

I also offer structured 1:1 sessions with creatives who feel scattered, overstimulated, or stuck. These sessions focus on attention, cultural consumption, and creative energy, helping clarify direction without adding pressure or prescriptive frameworks.
